The constituteencing system requires each time you refer to the ideas and words of others, it is essential to identify their work by making reference to it both in the text of your assignment, and in a list at the end of your assignment. You need to reference information from books, journals, videos, the World wide-eyed Web and other print and electronic sources. Many schools within the University of Tasmania have their own style guides indicating how assignments should be referenced. The School of nursing and Midwifery uses Harvard referencing (which is one of the author-date styles). This guide gives a basic access to the Harvard referencing system, and follows the standard prescribed by Snooks and Co.
